J Balvin is the reggaeton singer as well as songwriter from Colombia who became famous for his songs like “Ay Vamos”, “6 AM”, and “Mi Gente”. The singer’s discography also includes albums like La Familia from 2013 and Energia from 2016. It was back in 1985 when Jose Balvin was born in Medellin, Colombia to Alba Mery Vasquez and Alvaro Osorio. He is brother to a sister named Carolina. The popular singer moved to the USA when he was just 17 years of age and he studied both music and English here in New York City and Oklahoma. Some of the early performances of Balvin include Gigs from the Urban clubs of Medellin. Through all his work that he has done to date, he’s managed to build a net worth of $6 million.

The next album of Balvin, named Energia, came out in 2016 and it was released by the Capitol Latin Records & Universal Music Group. It was the first release from Balvin that debuted at the top spot on Billboard Top Latin Albums chart. This new album from him featured three amazing singles “Bobo”, “Ginza”, and “Safari” that featured Pharrell Williams, Sky and BIA. There were some other guest artists who featured in this project including Yandel, Fuego and Daddy Yankee. Energia Tour (2016-2017) was also introduced to support this album from J Balvin. Balvin also made an appearance in the track titled “Hey MA” that was for soundtrack album released in 2017 with the title “The Fate of the Furious”. He worked in collaboration with a DJ from France who goes by the name Willy William for the single “Mi Gente” which made headlines in 2017. The official song video has scored above 1 billion views on YouTube which certainly is a massive figure. That song’s remix also came out in the month of September in 2017 and it featured the popular star Beyonce
