Whistleblower: CIA lost 400 SAMs to Enemy at Benghazi

August 14, 2013. Benghazi. A former US Attorney representing one of the many Benghazi whistleblowers revealed Monday what the CIA, State Dept and White House are so desperate to keep secret. According to his account on a local radio station, the Obama administration lost 400 surface-to-air missiles from the Benghazi Embassy annex. And officials are afraid airliners across the globe are in danger of being shot down.

For almost a year, President Obama and former Secretary of State Clinton have repeatedly insisted there is nothing to the reports of scandal surrounding the events in Benghazi, Libya on September 11, 2012. That night, an Islamic militia attacked a US facility called the annex, as well as the US Embassy itself, resulting in the deaths of the US Ambassador and three other Americans. Slowly, an image of what really happened that night is coming together thanks to recent unnamed whistleblowers.

The official story

Since that tragic night in 2012, the White House and State Dept have dodged and weaved as spokespeople continually revised the official account of the Benghazi attack. First, they insisted the assault was unplanned and carried out by civilian demonstrators angered over the release of an anti-Islam film. Then, they finally admitted the attack was pre-planned and carried out by an organized militia.

The second controversy revolved around the fact that US officials on the ground in Libya repeatedly asked the State Dept, CIA and Defense Dept for emergency help. Their pleas began in the days and weeks preceding the fatal attack and continued until the assault was over and four Americans lay dead. Every request for security assistance was denied by the Obama administration in Washington. And for some unexplained reason, it took a full 24 hours for help to arrive.

To this day, nobody knows why the State Department refused to increase security or why the White House refused to send help. Some are now anonymously claiming the reason is simple – US officials wanted as few people stationed in Benghazi as possible. The less people aware of the alleged missile smuggling operation to Syrian rebels the better.

The whistleblowers’ account

Even though the Benghazi attack happened almost a year ago, the US officials, agents and soldiers involved that day are terrified to come forward and tell the American people the truth. As many independent news outlets keep reminding readers, the Obama administration has put more whistleblowers in prison than the criminals they were blowing the whistle on. But that hasn’t stopped networks like CNN and Infowars from releasing some of the numerous whistleblowers’ accusations.

Just over a week ago, CNN confirmed what many grassroots news outlets have been reporting for months – that the CIA is literally terrorizing its own agents in an attempt to keep them from ever talking about what really happened in Benghazi, Libya that mysterious night. The network announced, “Sources now tell CNN dozens of people working for the CIA were on the ground that night, and that the agency is going to great lengths to make sure whatever it was doing, remains a secret. CNN has learned the CIA is involved in what one source calls an unprecedented attempt to keep the spy agency’s Benghazi secrets from ever leaking out.”

To insure none of its agents are talking to Congress or the press, the CIA is allegedly polygraphing all the agents involved on a monthly basis. CNN went on to report, “Since January, some CIA operatives involved in the agency’s missions in Libya, have been subjected to frequent, even monthly polygraph examinations, according to a source with deep inside knowledge of the agency’s workings. The goal of the questioning, according to sources, is to find out if anyone is talking to the media or Congress. It is being described as pure intimidation.”

CNN concluded its shocking and accusing special report by publicly suggesting what only independent grassroots news outlets had the courage to report up to that point – that the Benghazi attack had something to do with the fact that the Obama White House had been secretly sending surface-to-air missiles to Syrian rebels in a covert attempt to tip the scales in that nation’s civil war. While President Obama publicly assured the UN, NATO, Russia, Iran and the world that America was not providing weapons to the Syrian rebels, he may have been using the Clinton State Dept as cover to do just that.

The real scandal – 400 captured SAMs

Taking the CNN story one step further, Alex Jones’ Infowars pointed out the real scandal, if it turns out to be true. And based on the impression that the accusations are coming from more than one whistleblower, the chances of it being accurate are becoming more and more likely. Secretly trafficking in arms and covertly overthrowing a foreign country are scandalous enough. But losing 400 surface-to-air missiles capable of bringing down a commercial airliner to Islamic terrorists is heart-stopping. And if one of those missiles should be used to do just that, the American people might forever hold President Obama personally responsible.

Infowars rebroadcast the story yesterday by releasing a two-minute segment of a local WMAL news interview. The show’s guest was former US attorney Joe DiGenova who is now representing at least one whistleblower from Benghazi. What DiGenova relayed to the listening public was shocking, if not downright terrifying.

“We had troops ready to deploy in Croatia to go that night of September 11, 2012 to rescue Americans,” DiGenvoa is heard telling the show in the video rereleased by Infowars, “We have learned that one of the reasons the administration is so deeply concerned — we have been told there were 400 surface-to-air missiles stolen, and that they are on or about in the hands of many people. And that the biggest fear in the US intelligence community is that one of these missiles will be used to shoot down an airliner.”

The show host then rightfully stops everything, obviously in shock. “Hold on a minute,” he interrupts, “because this is big stuff. This is really important stuff.” Showing that this whistleblower, and his or her attorney Joe DiGenova, have no connection to the separate charge that the Obama White House and State Dept have been secretly supplying missiles to Syrian rebels through Benghazi, Libya, DiGenova insists neither he nor his client have any idea where the 400 stolen missiles were bound for.

“What was going on there, they were taking the Libyan surface-to-air missiles – the CIA – and they were sending them where?” the show’s host asks DiGenova. The whistleblower’s attorney replies, “That’s a good question. I do not have an answer to that.” Joe DiGenova instead explains what the many, many Benghazi whistleblowers continuously coming forward since the first one contacted him have confirmed.

DiGenova explains, “This information comes from former intelligence officials who stay in constant contact with people in the special ops and the intelligence community. And it is pretty clear that the biggest concern right now are 400 missiles which have been diverted in Libya and had gotten into the hands of some very ugly people. And they are worried, specifically according to these sources, about an attempt to shoot down an airliner.”

Clarifications and confirmations

The former US Attorney and current lawyer for a Benghazi whistleblower concludes his comments by making two important clarifications. First, he confirms that among the terror groups the CIA believes now possess at least some of the stolen missiles is Al Qaeda. Attorney Joe DiGenova then confirms that his clients don’t have personal knowledge of whether or not the 400 stolen SAMs were taken from the US Embassy annex in Benghazi during the Sept. 11 attack.

But they are confirming the ‘before’ and ‘after’. Notably, that the US Benghazi annex was being used as the transfer point for secret arms shipments from the Obama administration to the Syrian rebels. They also confirm that 400 SAMs from that covert CIA-administered arms program using the Benghazi annex were in fact stolen and believed to have already been split up and distributed to Islamic terror groups such as Al Qaeda.

At last check, 150 US Congressmen have added their names to a call for Congress to appoint a Special Investigator to look into the Benghazi attack and the circumstances surrounding it, especially the alleged White House secret arms trafficking program.
