Feds arrest Adam Kokesh after Alex Jones Interview

July 11, 2013. Herndon. Constitutional rights advocate Adam Kokesh didn’t get arrested when he followed through on his months-long promise to hold an armed, peaceful march on the nation’s capitol on July 4th, a violation of local Washington DC law. But only a few hours after finishing an interview with Alex Jones’ Infowars, armored federal assault troops stormed Kokesh’s home.

Just 36 hours ago, grassroots activist and video/radio personality Adam Kokesh was taken into custody by local Herndon, Virginia police and federal paramilitary units from the Dept. of Homeland Security. No announcement has been made yet regarding what charge, if any, Kokesh is being held on. The only official confirmation so far has come from the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center, affirming they have Adam in custody.

Press Release

Early yesterday, just hours after being detained by government agents, the staff of Adam Kokesh’s show ‘Adam vs. The Man’ released an official statement regarding the incident that occurred in the middle of the night only hours before.

The release details how at 7:45pm local time on the previous evening of July 9, various agents of the Department of Homeland Security used a battering ram to knock down the door of Adam Kokesh’s home in Herndon, Virginia. Seconds later, the assault force detonated a percussion grenade inside the residence. Kokesh’s staff, who were present at the time, describe what happened next.

‘Numerous police vehicles, including a light armored vehicle and two low-flying helicopters barricaded Adam’s street. More than 20 armored SWAT team members surrounded the house, as well as a number of detectives, and plainclothes officers,’ the staff’s press release details, ‘Assault rifles were aimed on all members of the team as they were handcuffed without being told why they were detained. Masked and armored police in full “Storm Trooper” gear flooded in and ransacked the residence. The team was cordoned in a front room, while Adam was pulled aside for questioning.’

Using canine units and blueprints of Kokesh’s home, local and federal agents then spent the next five hours tearing apart the activist’s home and confiscating the cell phones, computers and personal items of everyone present. Sometime after midnight early yesterday morning, the employees of Adam vs. The Man were released while Adam Kokesh was taken to Fairfax County Jail.

Alex Jones and Infowars

It’s curious, and probably a coincidence, that Adam Kokesh was raided and arrested only hours after completing an interview with Alex Jones for his show Infowars Nightly News. Not surprisingly, Jones was one of the first to announce and report details of the raid. Also curious is the fact than numerous corporate media vans accompanied the agents during the raid.

During the interview with Jones, Kokesh describes how he was forced to revise his planned armed march on Washington DC. “When it comes to this event being executed properly,” Kokesh told the Alex Jones Show, “when the government has already escalated the violent tactics against me personally as an organizer, I can’t in good conscience go forward with a plan that is so centrally dependent and not open source.”

What the Constitutional activist is referring to is his arrest in May at a pro-marijuana protest. Ironically, while there are literally thousands of pro-marijuana demonstrations every day in America, government agents arrested Adam Kokesh at a local Philadelphia pot rally. Readers of Whiteout Press may remember that’s exactly what this author predicted would happen after Kokesh released his call for an armed march on Washington on the 4th of July.

Adam vs. The Man

The staff of Adam vs. The Man has promised to continue broadcasting the show even though their host is in police custody, ‘The ADAM VS THE MAN Team will be continuing production on the podcast and the Youtube channel as long as Adam remains imprisoned for an act of civil disobedience. We will continue to spread the message of liberty, self ownership, and the non-aggression principle regardless of the government’s relentless attacks on our operation. We will continue to combat its desperate attempts to crush a worldwide, revolutionary shift in the people’s understanding of the state’s illegitimacy—after all, good ideas don’t require force.’

Alex Jones and Infowars aren’t sitting idly by either. The report from Jones’ staff repeats a call by Adam Kokesh’s supporters to contact the US Parks Police (the lead federal agency during the raid) via their non-emergency phone number to demand Adam’s release. The statement reads, ‘Kokesh’s supporters are urging people call the US Parks Police non-emergency number at (202) 619-7105 to demand Adam’s release “and that charges be placed on the individuals that committed a B&E, vandalism, destruction of property, theft, and kidnapped Adam at our home.”’
