March 17, 2012. Chicago. Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all our Whiteout Press readers and subscribers. Your editor would love to be out celebrating, but there isn’t much to celebrate these days, or celebrate with. Like many of you, this single parent is struggling just to survive with my two teenagers and little or no income. But unlike the vast majority of Americans, this reporter isn’t going to let that stop me from fighting for what’s right and continuing to give a voice to the voiceless. Letters

We’ve been receiving more and more personalized letters lately. Some are requests for help or information, which we always try to accommodate if possible. Some are suggestions of topics for articles. Among the suggestions we’ve received in the past month are; what is Pinterest, genetically modified food, the new Windows (you won’t believe it, or be able to function if your over 40), the Vatican money scandal, drug-resistant germs, the FED and its missing $16 trillion, JL Mealer for President (whom Whiteout Press proudly endorsed from among the Constitution Party candidates), US Special Forces fighting in Syria, Presidential campaigns illegally spamming, USMC reveals latest weapon – the heat ray, Whole Foods not organic, CIA aerial spraying, National Anthem’s little-known second verse, the Jesus diaries discovered in Israel, men going extinct, 1.4 million illegal immigrant gang members in US, US Army tortures sheep, the next leader of Palestine. As you can see, when you email us suggestions for articles, we don’t ignore them. In fact, I’d love to investigate and report on each and every one of the above.

Donations needed

With a little financial help from you our readers and subscribers, Whiteout Press could cover all those topics and more. Please consider making a small donation while you’re thinking about it. In fact, one of the items on the Whiteout Press ‘wish list’ is to open a PO Box. It costs $26 for 6 months. I know that’s not much. But when you don’t have anything, it’s a lot.

We also have our domain name and web hosting renewal next month. For those that don’t remember, Whiteout Press was founded on April 19, 2011 – Patriot’s Day. It will cost us a little over $100 for those two necessities. So if Whiteout Press suddenly goes dark on that day next month and stays out for a few days or even a week or so, don’t give up on us. That just means we’re scraping the money together to pay the bill for the website and domain.

Another way you can help us is by spreading the word about Whiteout Press. If you publish your own website, blog or newsletter, please consider giving Whiteout Press a plug. In fact, we’d be happy to exchange ads with other websites, especially those among our subscribers. Revenue sources

On the bright side, we are receiving income from Google Advertising and our two Examiner.com columns. Unfortunately, we’re still only receiving minimal payments from each and only once per month. We are encouraged however. Just as we anticipated, Whiteout Press has slowly and steadily grown. It’s difficult to raise revenue when you have none to work with. As the saying goes, ‘it takes money to make money’. That’s unfortunate, but true. So for now, we’ll continue publishing and our subscriber base will continue to grow, and along with it, the revenue to keep Whiteout Press going.

Another way to help Whiteout Press is to purchase some of the items we have available on our Goodies4U page. We have special reports on topics like the Illuminati, the Trilateral Commission, Top Secret America and the 12/21/12 Doomsday Prophecy. We have our two tee shirts for sale, ‘Don’t Tread On Me, Come Get Some!’ and ‘Occupy This!’. We also have two buttons for sale, ‘Don’t Tread On Me’ and ‘Hello I’m Stoned’. Videos

Online videos are becoming more and more popular and useful every day. We actually have a few items this month in the Whiteout Press video section.  First, we would still like to produce a weekly cable access or cable TV show. If anyone is in the Chicago area and has the slightest experience and a half-way decent camera, mic and light, please email us at [email protected].

Thank you to the readers who found the video and information our other readers were looking for a couple weeks ago. We still have one subscriber on a search for a specific video. Anyone who took up the banner for our soldiers and veterans after the first Gulf War is sure to remember it.

Our reader describes it as, ‘a video lecture by Joyce Riley on the Gulf War Syndrome, 1996, Houston, Texas. An early, or perhaps her first, foray into the public arena with the Gulf War illness. She made this VHS tape free to gulf vets and for purchase by non-vets. There is a transcript of the tape on the net, but NO access whatsoever to the original video tape. Not even going to her directly, or the Gulf War Vets Assoc who distributed it, has met with success’. If any of our readers can find it or have a copy, please email us at [email protected].

When Conan O’Brien’s production company and the European Soccer Federation forced our copy of Colbie Caillat’s version of her singing the Star Spangled Banner off the internet for copyright violations, this American was completely stunned. After writing the article, ‘Censoring the National Anthem for Copyright Violation’, we were hoping Colbie Caillat herself might step in, mostly because your editor has a crush on her. But what we received was almost just as wonderful. One of our readers suggested we share the second verse of our nation’s National Anthem, something most Americans including this author, had never heard before. In case we never get a chance to turn it into an article all to itself, here is quick video of one proud American singing it for his fellow countrymen.

Website improvements

In case you haven’t noticed, we took your complaints to heart regarding our terrible ‘Comments’ and ‘Subscribe’ boxes. The code letters and numbers were almost unreadable. We are now proud to announce we have secured and begun using both a new comments program and a new automated subscribe button. The code letters and number are much, much better now.
