Global Warming is a 75-year US Government Program

December 12, 2012. (ONN) Just a couple years ago, people were still arguing whether global warming was real or not. Now, there is no doubt that the Earth’s temperatures are rising so rapidly, that if they continue at this rate, mankind may be extinct in a generation or two. Now, a collection of government documents show that global warming has been the objective of secret US government, corporate and military programs for 75 years.

An incredibly lengthy and detailed report from Harold Saive and The Intel Hub details the history of mankind’s quest to purposely raise global temperatures. Most of the programs and efforts are not secret. Many are government or military projects, while others are private scientific or corporate programs. But they all have the same goal – to raise the Earth’s average temperature.

Nostradamus – 1500’s

Famed psychic and healer Nostradamus is the first historical figure this author is aware of that mentions mankind creating weapons and devices specifically designed to purposely alter the world’s weather. While describing a future world war dominated by space-age technology, Nostradamus writes in Century 6, Quatrain 44:

By night the Rainbow will appear for Nantes,

By marine arts they will stir up rain:

In the Gulf of Arabia a great fleet will plunge to the bottom,

In Saxony a monster will be born of a bear and a sow.

The line, ‘By marine arts they will stir up rain’, describes current US military programs with eerily prophetic accuracy. For more information on Nostradamus’ predictions about the coming world war 3, read ‘Nostradamus Predicted the coming Iran War’.

Jules Verne – 1889

Famed writer, scientist and dreamer Jules Verne was one of the first well known individuals to suggest that mankind could, and would, purposely warm the Earth’s climate. In his 1889 work titled, ‘The Purchase of the North Pole’, Verne details a fictitious effort by wealthy country club Americans who attempt to turn the frozen North Pole into a tropical paradise and profitable vacation destination.

The science fiction best seller wasn’t the first to publicly suggest the idea however. 12 years earlier in 1877, Harvard University geologist Nathaniel Shaler proposed diverting warm Atlantic Ocean waters to the Arctic to melt Polar ice and raise temperatures. It’s also worth noting that when Jules Verne first wrote about man walking on the moon, everyone thought he was crazy. His best seller ‘From the Earth to the Moon’ turned out to be quite prophetic.

New York – a tropical paradise

Fast forward two decades to just after the turn of the century. Just as rich corporate investors dreamed of changing the world’s climate to profit off of a North Pole vacation destination, New York politicians had the same dream for the Big Apple. NY Senator William Calder, who served from 1917-1923, is on the record attempting to secure a $100,000 appropriation to study the idea. At the time, the Washington Post described New Yorkers and their global warming agenda saying, ‘People would be gathering oranges off the trees in Central Park, or picking cocoanuts from palms along the Battery, hunting crocodiles off the Statue of Liberty.’

In 1912, New York engineer Carroll Livingston Riker proposed the construction of a ‘jetty’ off Newfoundland that would shift the Earth’s rotational axis, thus creating a tropical paradise in New York. At the time, the NY Times called the proposal “Amazing”.

Global warming initiatives spread

Thanks to the writings of Nostradamus, Jules Vern and a number of other visionaries, various powerful governments, industrialists and scientists were in a race to successfully develop a method or machine to raise the Earth’s average temperature. Their motivations ranged from a lust for military power to financial greed and even humanitarian goals.

In 1929, Hungarian-German physicist and engineer Hermann Oberth proposed one of the more realistic ideas, although it was considered crazy at the time. He suggested building giant mirrors on a space station to focus the sun’s radiation specifically on the North Pole. This, he argued, would make the far northern hemisphere habitable and open frozen arctic waters to commercial shipping.

World War 2 and Nazi advancements

Immediately after World War 2, each victorious allied nation desperately attempted to recruit, buy or outright kidnap Nazi Germany’s scientists. From jet fighters and cruise missiles to nuclear fission and time travel – Nazi scientists had spent a decade perfecting some of the craziest ideas man ever conjured up. A race was on to collect these scientists and see how far they’d advanced in the field of weather manipulation and global warming.

In 1945, UNESCO Secretary General Julian Huxley added the global government’s voice to the debate. He suggested that the United States explode atomic bombs above the North Pole to raise the temperature of the Arctic Ocean, and in turn, the overall temperature of the Northern Hemisphere. As reported by a 1946 article in New York’s Village Voice, Huxley’s idea was just one of many proposed at the time specifically to ignite global warming.

In 1958, Soviet scientists joined the effort. The Russian led alliance made a number of suggestions that year that would raise global temperatures, specifically to make the Northern Hemisphere more habitable and profitable.

In an effort to lay claim to the North Pole and its vase energy reserves, Soviet scientists suggested that a ring of metallic potassium particles be injected into the Earth’s orbit. This act, Soviet engineer M. Gorodsky and meteorologist Valentin Cherenkov predicted, would increase solar radiation in the Arctic region and raise the temperatures of Russia, Canada and Alaska. Another Soviet idea involved the building of a dam and the diversion of warm Gulf waters into the Arctic.

Energy corporations get in on the action

Still in 1958, oil companies joined American and Soviet scientists eagerly attempting to find a way to raise the world’s temperature in an effort to open up the North Pole to industry and commerce. In the same year, Russian oil engineer P.M. Borisov proposed spreading black coal dust across Greenland to attract solar rays which would raise temperatures. At the same time, Atlantic Richfield proposed exploding up to 100 nuclear bombs in Canada to shatter and melt the Alberta Oil Sands. Oil companies thought the effect would be to fracture, or “frac” the land enough to make removal of the tiny oil deposits easier.

Four years later in 1962, meteorologist Harry Wexler from MIT died of a heart attack and his research was opened up to his peers. Wexler had been experimenting in another controversial subject pulled from today’s headlines. He detailed the possible effects from spreading chlorine and bromine compounds into the Earth’s ozone layers. Eliminating or reducing the ozone layer, it was thought, would increase radiation and heat reaching the Earth. Today, they’re called ‘chem-trails’.

US military joins the action

While US and Soviet corporations endeavored to raise the world’s temperatures for profit and the Soviet government pursued the same course to expand its territory and influence, the US government went in a different direction. The US military used the same weather-changing technology to develop weapons of mass destruction.

As detailed in a 1958 US Senate Committee hearing published by the US Government Printing Office on March 18-19, 1958, the US military had numerous secret programs designed to alter the world’s temperatures and weather. The US Senate hearing was titled, ‘Committee on Inter-State and Foreign Commerce, Weather Modification Research’.

The report quotes senior White House adviser on weather modification Capt. Howard T. Orville testifying, “The Department of Defense was studying ways to manipulate the charges of Earth and sky and so affect the weather by means of an electronic beam to ionize or de-ionize the atmosphere over a given area.” Describing how the US military would carry out the program, Orville explained, “Sodium vapor, ejected from jet planes to intercept solar radiation” would be dropped over enemy territory.

Once the US military was publicly involved in the effort to raise the world’s global temperatures, the scientific community became publicly involved as well. Almost immediately after the Soviet and US programs of 1958 were uncovered, the National Academy of Sciences recommended the appointment of a “Panel on Weather and Climate Modification”.

Sudden reversal

With governments and corporations racing to warm the Earth’s temperatures, and spending millions of dollars in the process, more scientists than ever joined the effort. That led to a surprising discovery in 1966 that halted the work by most of the world’s scientists and meteorologists. Militaries and corporations however, merely took their programs underground.

The new research revealed that the Earth’s average temperature was increasing by itself due to mass industrialization. International climatologist and Chairman of the ICAS Select Panel on Weather and Climate Modification Dr. Gordon J.F. MacDonald wrote, ‘Carbon dioxide placed in the atmosphere since the start of the industrial revolution has produced an increase in the average temperature of the lower atmosphere of a few tenths of a degree Fahrenheit.”

MacDonald was picking up where oceanographer Roger Revelle had left off. Revelle was a veteran of the World War 2 era US Navy and involved in top secret programs that helped the US military plan and facilitate underwater nuclear detonations. Revelle also went on to Chair a Committee at the National Academy of Sciences. Separately, each man came to the conclusion that the burning of fossil fuels was warming the globe.

Secret effort to raise global temperatures

When scientists revealed in 1966 that Carbon Dioxide emissions were causing global warming at a deadly rate, most of the world’s scientists and governments immediately stopped their efforts to force the Earth’s temperatures higher – but not the US government. With short-sited and blind ambitions, a host of American government agencies and scientific organizations launched top secret programs to accelerate global warming even more.

Reports, documents and programs from 1966 show just how involved the US government is in the effort to raise global temperatures. The following is just a partial list of 1966 documents and programs:

• ‘Present and Future Plans of Federal Agencies in Weather-Climate Modification’ – prepared by the Interdepartmental Committee for Atmospheric Sciences.

• ‘A Recommended National Program in Weather Modification – A Report to the Interdepartmental Committee for Atmospheric Sciences’ by NASA.

• ‘Panel on Weather and Climate Modification to Committee on Atmospheric Sciences NAS-NRC – Membership Recommendations’.

• ‘Special Commission on Weather Modification – National Science Foundation.’

• ‘Report prepared by the ICAS Select Panel on Weather Modification; “Present and Future Plans of Federal Agencies in Weather-Climate Modification”.’

• Memorandum for Dr. Homer E. Newel from J. Herbert Hollomon, Chairman of ICAS, ‘Subject: National Weather Modification Program, dated June 21, 1966’.

• ‘NASA Panel to Study Weather Modification Activities; Membership, Chronology of Meetings, and a Compilation of Supporting Material used by the Panel.’

• ‘Budget Recommendations and Trends for a National Weather Modification Program’.

As readers can see, all of the above government programs, studies, documents and reports are from 1966. By the end of that year, the US federal government organized itself in a secret and covert manner that removed much of the global warming efforts from public view. Summarizing a structure and plan to move forward with their objectives, the effort would be led by NASA. The new covert government body was detailed in a letter from the US space agency to the National Academy of Sciences. One critical recommendation is that each agency share its findings, but keep its funding separate to avoid detection.

Today’s weather weapons of mass destruction

For the past 40 years, US government efforts to develop weather weapons and increase global warming have been secretive and covert. Any public questioning of the projects were met with rabid character assassinations by corporate owned media outlets in the nation’s press. But in 1996, the US military made a startling admission.

The US Air Force released a research paper in that year titled, ‘Weather as a Force Multiplier: Owning the Weather in 2025’. The 52 page report is part of an overall government strategy to upgrade military technology as part of a larger project called, ‘Air Force 2025’.

The introduction of the 1996 Air Force report sums up the past 40 years of government and military secret experiments.  Looking forward to the year 2025, the USAF research paper begins:

‘Current technologies that will mature over the next 30 years will offer anyone who has the necessary resources the ability to modify weather patterns and their corresponding effects, at least on the local scale. Current demographic, economic, and environmental trends will create global stresses that provide the impetus necessary for many countries or groups to turn this weather-modification ability into a capability.

In the United States, weather-modification will likely become a part of national security policy with both domestic and international applications. Our government will pursue such a policy, depending on its interests, at various levels. These levels could include unilateral actions, participation in a security framework such as NATO, membership in an international organization such as the UN, or participation in a coalition. Assuming that in 2025 our national security strategy includes weather-modification, its use in our national military strategy will naturally follow. Besides the significant benefits an operational capability would provide, another motivation to pursue weather-modification is to deter and counter potential adversaries.

In this paper we show that appropriate application of weather-modification can provide battlespace dominance to a degree never before imagined. In the future, such operations will enhance air and space superiority and provide new options for battlespace shaping and battlespace awareness. The technology is there, waiting for us to pull it all together. In 2025 we can “Own the Weather”.’

So while the world argues over the legitimacy of global warming and scientists and environmentalists desperately fight to stop it, the US government has been actively working to increase the world’s temperatures and develop technologies that use weather phenomenon as weapons of mass destruction. From the original reporting, we’re even shown that the effort has only accelerated in recent years.

In their book ‘Angels Don’t Play This HAARP’, authors Jeanne Manning and Nick Begich list a chronological list of official government programs and projects formed with the specific goal of controlling the weather. Showing that the effort hasn’t let up even in the current Barack Obama administration, the book details a 2009 program by the US Dept. of Homeland Security titled, ‘Operation HAMP – Department of Homeland Security operation to Modify and Steer Hurricanes with Geoengineering Aerosols’.
